Until 2013, the DAF members usually met face to face every four months to discuss ongoing reforms in development assessment and undertake key work programs.

From 1998 until 2012, secretariat support and some project funding for the work programme was provided by the Commonwealth Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Local Government.

The Department is currently not participating in the Forum
